I was entrusted with the delicate task of creating the branding for the funeral of a beloved theatre actor whose untimely passing deeply impacted his community. My goal was to design a visual identity that paid tribute to his life, passions, and legacy. Inspired by his love for theatre and music, I crafted a suite of assets that reflected his spirit in a way that his family, friends, and admirers could cherish.
The family selected a refined colour palette of Purple, White, and Gold, aiming for a classy and elegant aesthetic. Every design decision was made with great care and respect for who he was, ensuring the final outcome honoured both his memory and the wishes of his loved ones.
With the family's permission, I am sharing this body of work for portfolio purposes. For privacy reasons, all names and imagery have been respectfully altered to protect the family's identity.
At the family's request, they wanted to create a piece of memorabilia for those attending the service — something meaningful that people could take home and cherish. Together, we decided on designing a bookmark, which felt like a timeless and practical keepsake.
Drawing further inspiration from his deep love of theatre, I developed a ticket-style design that visually captured his personality and passions. As a subtle tribute to his love of music, musical notes were incorporated into the background, adding an extra layer of meaning.
One of the most important elements to the family was celebrating his unforgettable smile, which was known to light up every room. It was essential to them — and to me — that this joyful part of his legacy was thoughtfully reflected in the final piece.
